The stage is set for counting of 48.16 million votes polled in the simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and Andhra Pradesh assembly, amid tight security Friday.The counting was started at 8 AM and first result is expected from Anakapalli parliamentary constituency, Visakhapatnam district.Here, the counting will be completed in 18 rounds and eight candidates are contesting from here.
The result of the biggest parliamentary constituency in India, Malkajgiri, will be known only after the results of all other constituencies are available. Here, the counting process is carried out in 45 rounds. There are 30 lakh voters here.
For 42 Lok Sabha seats, 598 candidates were in fray while 3,910 tested their fortunes in the assembly elections.
According to the latest trends, in Center the nda has got the leading in 123 Lok Sabha constituencies while the UPA leads in 50 Lok Sabha seats.
