Censor Board Chief Dhanalakshmi who made actors, directors and producers cope up with sleepless nights has got transferred Today. Industry folks have been waiting for this moment for so long and hence there were positive reactions everywhere.
It is known that many Tollywood personalities including Mohan Babu, Ram Gopal Varma, Kona Venkat and Others faced Censor problems in the past few years. All of them have raised their voice against Censor Board chief Dhanalakshmi and some even given representations to centre demanding severe action. Finally, their prayers have been heard by the almighty and Dhanalaksmi has been replaced by CVK Reddy who served as Hyderabad Officer in-charge of CBFC till date.
On many occasions, Filmmakers complained their creative freedom took a beating and they are uncertain about the release dates of their flicks due to the parameters followed by Dhanalakshmi. With her transfer, They now feel like a free bird and believe they got their freedom back.
