#Me Too has exposed the ugly underbelly of the filmdom. It has brought to the fore the spectre of casting couch and gender exploitation. But, there is another angle. Some heroines, especially the former heroines, are trying to make a quick buch by threatening to expose the big names of Bollywood.
This is the case of a former heroine who saw an window of opportunity in #Me Too. She is now threatening to expose a big hero of Bollywood. In effect, he is blackmailing him. She has asked the hero to shell out money if he did not want her to name and shame him.
The hero has a huge image and craze for his acting and dancing skills. His debut film was an all time hit and his family is all involved in the film industry. The hero is said to be afraid that his reputation could get tarnished. He knows that such allegations cannot be proved in the court of law, but can leave his image completely shattered. So, the hero is said to be negotiating through intermediaries with the heroine. He hopes that his escapades 10-12 years ago would be pushed under the carpet.
