Former Miss Universe Turns Transgender For Upcoming Web Series

The OTT platforms are a blessing for entertainment lovers. When theatres were shut during lockdowns, OTTs became the one stop destination for many. Through OTTs many actors who could not get big success in mainstream cinema received a big opportunity to showcase their talent.
Some of the senior actors like Tisca Chopra and Pankaj Tripathi entertained the OTT subscribers with interesting web series. Former Miss Universe who appeared in a few hit web series is gearing up for another interesting project.
Sushmita Sen who already has a bunch of web series to her name is gearing up for a big transformation. In her upcoming web series, the ex Miss Universe is playing transgender activist Gauri Sawant. Titled Taali, the series tells us about the inspirational story of Ganesh who later became Gauri Sawant.
Talking about the first look, Sushmita Sen transformed into the role of Gauri Sawant. With a big Bindi, the former Miss Universe posed a powerful look. The makers have managed to get the look right and the first look increased the expectations of the web series.
Gauri Sawant has been fighting for the rights of transgenders. Gauri earlier knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court seeking directives to consider transgender also as the gender.
The upcoming series is a Voot originals. Kshitij Patwardhan wrote the web series and Ravi Jadhav is helming the series. The biopic series is being bankrolled by Kartk D Nishandar, Arjun Singgh Baran and Afeefa Nadiadwala Sayed.
