Gautham Menon Says 'She Has No Rights'!
By: Tupaki Desk | 29 Feb 2020 9:03 AM GMTGautham Vasudev Menon never fails to give a strong reply or say what he feels necessary to be said at that particular moment. Later, if he has to apologise, he doesn't mind doing it on public platform too.
He did face some controversies due to this habit and few directors, actors slammed him for being too harsh at times. But he never lets all of it hurt him too much and has his own way to deal with things.
The director made a webseries on Jayalalitha's real life story with different name, Queen and Jayalalitha's niece, Deepa filed a petition saying that he did not take her permission to make the film.
Madras High Court suspended her petition but she filed a writ petition about the same. Different judge took the case for investigation and asked GVM to explain his stand on the issue.
GVM replied through his lawyer and in the reply he stated that Deepa couldn't meet Jayalalitha several times, when she was alive and as Jayalalitha never explicitly declared Deepa as her legal heir, she has no rights to ask him about it.
He further said that he made the series by taking inspiration from the real incidents and based on the book written by Antha Sivakumar. Judge after listening to the arguments of both the sides, adjourned the court for next hearing on the case, on 8th March.
