Geetham Govindam Day 1 Exceeds Expectations

For any actor, the wide acceptance of public as a hero or heroine of lead makes him or her a star. In front of our eyes, few grow exponentially within no time and some take years together.
Actor like Nani needed a decade to build on his popularity and eventually turn into a star. Nithiin still isn't big enough and Raj Tharun, Nikhil are marred with flops and disasters constantly. Sharwanand is also constantly looking to improve his market.
Other than Nani, none of them are stars yet. Vijay Devarakonda who was a struggler when these actors films were hits and misses, with Pelli Choopulu turned the tide in his favour.
Arjun Reddy helped him put himself on a pedestal and Mahanati gave him recognition anong the family crowds. Now, he arrived as a star equal to Nani with just his 8th release and the National holiday, coupled the business.
Even on a limited release due to another popular film, Srinivasa Kalyanam, still in the middle of its first week, Geetha Govindam collected a WW gross of Rs. 16 crores and a share of Rs. 9.89 crores.
This is a huge number and even in Chennai, Karnataka movie ran at housefulls. It crossed Nani's MCA and Sai Dharam Tej's Winner to show that Vijay Devarakonda is new phenomenon and the actor needs to keep doing better films even more and more to build on this success.
