The Tollywood film industry continues to deal with the uncertainty over the ticket prices as far as the Andhra Pradesh state is concerned. There are still doubts on whether the price hiking is possible or not as Radhe Shyam was allied to hike the ticket prices by just 25 rupees.

To clear the uncertainty, the Andhra Pradesh government had come up with a piece of good news for the makers of RRR ahead of the release of the much-awaited Pan-India film. The news had brought a smile to the faces of the makers.

Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Perni Nani spoke to the media earlier today and said that the ticket rates for RRR can be increased. However, he said that up to what amount the ticket prices can be increased will be announced soon.

The Cabinet Minister said that team RRR had applied for permission to hike the ticket prices and a detailed report will be submitted to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in this regard and based on the same the tickets can be increased up to a limit.

Without mentioning the limit for the hike, Perni Nani said that a decision would be taken soon to see that neither audiences nor the producers will get affected.

Giving a reason behind permitting the film for the ticket prices high, Perni Nani said that according to the new GO, if a film is made with a budget of over Rs 100 crore barring the remuneration, then the hikes can be permitted. RRR is made with a budget of over Rs 300 crore, so the film can have increased ticket prices, he said.

Big-ticket films can increase ticket rates for the first ten days. However, the amount should not be a burden for the audience. The fifth show was also permitted by the government with a condition that one show should be dedicated to a low-budget film, Perni Nani said.

RRR is one of the much-awaited films. Given the massive success of the Bahubali franchise, not just Tollywood fans, movie lovers across the country are waiting for the film to hit the screens. RRR is slated to hit the screens on the 25th of this month.

Directed by SS Rajamouli, RRR stars NTR and Ram Charan in key roles who are essaying the roles of celebrated freedom fighters Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju respectively. Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn are playing pivotal roles.
