Good price for Drushyam satellite rights

Family drama cum thriller Drushyam starring Venkatesh and Meena in lead roles has picked up its collections.‘Drishyam’ although released to positive reviews did not get huge shares at Box Office on the first two days due to past history of Venkatesh films.As expected, ‘Drishyam’ picked up the collections now and House Full boards are seen across the two states.

The film has been released on small print count by the makers and they relied on the word of mouth on the film to do the trick for them. Now with positive buzz around the film makers are planning to increase the prints.As per the latest reports, satellite rights of ‘Drishyam’ has been sold to a popular channel for close to 6 crores, which is a very good price.
Drushyam is made on a very low budget (compared to other big star's films) and the film has the potential to collect a theatrical share of over 15 crores, say trade pundits.Drushyam is a kind of experiment both in terms of production cost and genre of the film. This has proved the fact that content based films would work at the box office if made on a low scale.

The film also doing wonders at BO.The thriller drama is super strong in USA and it is expected to become biggest hit for Venky in overseas. The Sripriya directorial collected $ 167,655 [Rs 1.01 crore] in USA till Saturday.
