GoodBye 2022: Telugu Heroes Who Owned Last year?

The Tollywood industry emerged as a big worst thanks to the super success of magnum opus Baahubali. The SS Rajamouli's directorial placed our industry on the top and created a path for others to think big and make films on the Pan-India scale to reach larger audiences. Thanks to Baahubali a few Tollywood stars became Pan-India stars.

As we finished 2022 and entered 2023 let us have a look at heroes to see who had a good time last year. As January is the start of the year and Sankranti is the big season let us start the list with the Sankranti films that were released last year.

King Nagarjuna made the best of the Covid situation as the much-awaited films went out of the Sankranti season. With no big films coming Nagarjuna banked on the season and brought his Bangarraju for Sankranti and scored a big hit.

Bangarraju stars Nagarjuna and his son Naga Chaitanya in the film. They both scored a big hit with the film. However, the next films of both heroes ended up as failures. Nagarjuna's The Ghost and Naga Chaitanya's Thankyou failed. His Bollywood debut was also not that great.

Only four heroes owned 2022. Superstar Mahesh Babu scored a super hit with Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Despite mixed talks and reviews, the Superstar scored a big hit and his stardom is the reason behind this.

Young Tiger NTR and Megapower star Ram Charan are the two other heroes who owned this year. Their first Pan-India film RRR was released this year and they emerged as the Pan-India stars with the magnum.

After becoming one of the highest-earning films in India, RRR also became a big hit in Japan and even surpassed the record of Muthu. Rajanikanth enjoys a massive following there and Muthu set up a big record there. After around two long decades, RRR broke the record. This shows the impact RRR has. Even the magnum opus received good applause.

The SS Rajamouli's directorial took the west by storm and technicians and actors were largely impressed by the mighty RRR. There was also a demand that RRR should compete in the Oscars. However, the film managed to get shortlisted in one category.

Nikhil also banked highly last year with Karthikeya-2 becoming a Pan-India film and 18 pages seeing good success. Barring them, almost every hero had either a flop or disaster. First Pan-India star Prabhas scored a disaster with Radhe Shyam.
