GST takes its toll on Spyder!

Ever since Indian Government announced the tax unification system, GST, the revenues of Telugu movies have come down massively and producers also exclaimed that tax has increased 10% from normal and that has affected on the profits of the distributors and exhibitors. Mahesh Babu's Spyder is facing the brunt as well.
The producers have planned to make some 100 crores pre-release business with the movie but it seems like it could end up at 75 to 80 crores for the movie. As GST needs to be considered in the overall revenue, the amounts offered by the distributors have also reduced and the makers are feeling that the GST has been announced at the wrong time for them and their movie.
However fans of Mahesh Babu are happy that the movie that has been long in shooting is finally on the brink of completion. The last song shoot is happening in August and the movie will be wrapped up with that. The makers have confirmed that the release date is 27th September and like Baahubali and Rajni's films, this film will also release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam on same day.
