No Award for Rudramadevi: Guna fires!

Gunasekhar came down heavily on AP Government for not giving due prominence to 'Rudramadevi' in the Nandi Awards. Forget about Best Film award, This historical subject based on Telangana Queen wasn't even considered for either 2nd/3rd Best Film or Special Jury award.
Telangana Government granted Tax Exemption for 'Rudramadevi'. Whereas, AP Government denied any such favour for the historical subject starring Anushka but granted tax exemption for Balakrishna's 'Gautamiputra Satakarni'. At that time, Gunasekhar questioned the kind of partiality shown by CM Chandrababu Naidu for his brother-in-law.
In his letter targeting the TDP Government & Jury, Gunasekhar questioned, 'Is it a crime to voice my opinion over denying tax exemption? I came to know that Government decided not to offer Nandi Awards to those who criticize it. Whether we are living in an independent India or autocratic nation? What's the reason behind not considering Rudramadevi for any categories of Best Films? Does offering an award to my film sends wrong signals to the society?'.
