After taking a long gap post 'Rudramadevi', ace director Gunasekhar is now working on his upcoming movie 'Shakuntalam'. Based on the love story of Shakuntala and Dushyanta, from the Athaparva of the epic tale Mahabharata, the film tells about the love affair, secret marriage, separation of imprecation and reunion of the immortal love of Dushyanta and Shakuntala.
Over the last few months, there were several speculations regarding the female lead in the women eccentric film. The latest we hear is the director has approached a star actress to play in the film.
If the reports are true. Gunasekhar is in talks with Pooja Hegde for the titular role in the movie. However, an official announcement is expected soon.
