Gunasekhar Wants A Bollywood Beauty For 'Shakuntalam'!

After taking a gap of 5 years post 'Rudramadevi', senior director Gunasekhar has now announced his upcoming movie. He penned 'Shakuntalam' based on the love story of Shakuntala and Dushyanta which is from the Athaparva of the epic tale Mahabharata.
It is said to be narrated from the heroine's point-of-view and sources claim that Gunasekhar is looking for North beauties to play the title role. Rumors about having talks with Samantha and Pooja Hegde cropped up but Gunasekhar's daughter and producer Neelima Guna denied them immediately.
News is that they are looking for a Bollywood actress who can bring a pan-Indian appeal to this project. Produced under 'Gunaa Team Works', 'Shaakuntalam' is bringing curiosity among the public with an interesting premise. After 'Shaakuntalam', Gunasekhar is expected to direct 'Hiranyakashapa' with Rana Daggubati as the lead.
