When any actor faces back-to-back failures, they try to play it to the galleries, score a hit and get back on track. They attempt a complete commercial film which is usually termed as a safe bet. But Tamil hero Karthi is unconventional.
After delivering flops like 'Chinababu' and 'Dev', he chose an off-beat script like 'Khaidi' directed by a young film maker Lokesh Nagaraj. Moreover, the film doesn't have the so-called commercial elements. This is a completely serious film that happens in one night. There is neither a heroine nor any song in this film. They completely went by the script and never added these elements. Films like these take time to get into the public unlike hero worshipping movies. So, one needs to appreciate the guts of Karthi in making 'Khaidi' at this juncture of his career.
This intense film is hitting the screens on 25th October and SR Prabhu funded this project under 'Dream Warrior Pictures'.
