One of the biggest threat the movie industry is facing since years is Piracy. Piracy is affecting the industry globally and is spreading like wildfire. Telugu film industry is not an exception too.In fact, Telugu movie industry is growing to become one of the biggest competitors in India. So, obviously, the threat is huge too.
There is no doubt that piracy has eaten into the business of cinema. Some movies are leaked online even before the release and find their way to torrent sites. The makers get heavily charged with the losses ahead of the movie's theatrical releases. India's biggest movie BAAHUBALI-2 also faced the similar issues. At first, some VFX scenes from the movie were leaked online months prior the release.
As per the latest Survey on piracy reveals that Baahubali-2 is the movie which has suffered heavy losses because of piracy. Baahubali-2 is the movie which stands on top of the pirated movies, followed by Allu Arjun starrer DJ-Duvvada Jagannadham. In spite of all the trails, the movie makers are unable to eradicate the biggest bug which is killing the art of cinema. The director Harish Shankar also tweeted the same.
