Heart Attack rumours on Mani Ratnam

Filmmaker Mani Ratnam was admitted to a Delhi hospital on Tuesday and some people reported that Mani was hospitalized due to cardiac problems. The news created panic among Manis fans and people started enquiring about his health.
Family sources now confirmed that Mani visited a private hospital just for having a master health checkup. Contrary to the rumors, he was not hospitalized due to cardiac problems.
"Mani and his wife were holidaying in Delhi. A master health checkup was long overdue so that he joined in hospital to finish it. He got it in done in a hospital in Delhi only to avoid Chennai public eye," Mala Manyan, executive producer of OK Bangaram said
Its known that the versatile director had survived a heart attack in 2004 when he was filming the multi-starrer bi-lingual Yuva.
