Nani's emotional sports drama 'Jersey' which received a lot of critical acclaim last year is now getting remade in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor as the lead. Shraddha Srinath who played the heroine in the original impressed everyone with her touching performance. News is that Rashmika rejected such a powerful role when she was approached for the remake.

Gautham Tinnanuri who directed the original is also handling the remake and Rashmika is approached to play the role of Shahid's wife in the film. News is that she rejected the role citing silly reasons. She reportedly demanded a huge remuneration for this film. The 'Bheeshma' heroine recently responded to these whispers saying that she did not reject the film because of remuneration. She added that this role demanded a wide range of expressions and deep performance which she isn't capable of.
She claimed that Shraddha did a splendid job and she cannot do the same and also said that she may not be able to adjust her dates. Her comments are not being well received by the audience and experts. They are firing on her and asking why did she choose this field if she cannot do challenging roles. Netizens are trolling her badly for these statements. Currently, Mrunal Thakur is playing that role in Hindi and Allu Aravind along with Dil Raju is investing in this film.
