X
It is known that a select few Tollywood producers, namely Dil Raju, Mythri Naveen, UV Creation's Vamsi Reddy, Asian's Narayan Das Narang, and RRR producer DVV Danayya met with Perni Nani, the representative of the government of Andhra Pradesh yesterday. The meeting attained great prominence in the context of Pawan Kalyan's recent outburst on the government of Andhra Pradesh regarding the proposed online ticketing portal and also restrictions imposed on the theatrical industry, which he says are affecting the Telugu film industry in so many more ways than one. Perni Nani stated that the producers have attended the meeting with the AP government knowing full well that they can't stand by Pawan Kalyan who makes "senseless" comments. Nani even revealed that Chiranjeevi himself disowned Pawan Kalyan's comments and admitted that they were made in poor taste.

Now, here is the other aspects and the major developments that were manifested in yesterday's meeting between Tollywood producers and the Andhra Pradesh government. As said by our sources, the government of Andhra Pradesh has agreed to permit 100 % occupancy at cinema halls starting from this Dussehra season. Related orders will be passed very soon. It is learnt that the government would have passed the 100% occupancy orders last this week itself, if it wasn't for Pawan Kalyan's provocative comments at the Republic pre-release event. Now, the government, in the meeting with Tollywood producers assured the cent percent occupancy regulation from this Dussehra season. This should come as a big boost to Dussehra releases.

The government has also agreed upon the ticket prices issue. The government has agreed to permit Rs 150 ticket pricing slab in multiplexes and A centres. As for municipal areas, the ticket prices will be capped at Rs 120. In Panchayats, the ticket prices will be capped at Rs 100. In all likelihood, these ticket prices regulations will be coming to effect very soon. The proposed government-run online ticketing portal will also be coming to implementation very soon. Also, the government has agreed to charge the lowest possible service charges and taxes in order to limit the financial impact on cinema goers and the producers alike
