Nadigar Sangam elections - This was one of the sensational and controversial events in recent times. Elections for South Indian Film Artistes Association, also known as the Nadigar Sangam, held on Sunday and the results were out while ago.
Hero Vishal and actor Nasser were on Sunday declared elected as General Secretary and President of the Nadigar Sangam.
Vishal has been elected Nadigar Sangam general secretary, with 1445 votes. Vishal rival Radha Ravi polled 1138 votes. Nasser defeats current president Sarathkumar in the Elections and won the president post.
The elections are held once in three years. The elections were last held in 2012 and Sarathkumar was re-elected, unopposed for the third time.
