TS High Court Questions The Allotment Of Prime Land To Director Shankar
X
It is evident that the Telangana Government has alloted 5 acres of precious land at a very low nominal cost of just Rs 5 Lakh rupees for film Director N Shankar. Earlier a Pile was filed against the deed of government and today the hearing took place in the High Court of Telangana.

When N Shankar's advocate on behalf of the government said that Shankar has contributed his major stake towards Telangana agitation, the Judge has countered it saying there are thousands of people who fought in the agitation, will the government benefit all of them abundantly like this?

The Court even said that Hyderabad has a big film studio like Ramoji Film City and why is the need for Shankar to do it again? If government is so particular to develop film fraternity, they should come with a body of framework and office in the already established film city!

It remains to be seen how Telangana government reacts to the High Court and what remains to be seen is whether Shankar gets lucky to be benefitted by government like all the several bigwigs who have become landlords in the former governments? It is the pure bad luck of Shankar who fought for a cause is being questioned rather than benefitted! Perhaps he is the only celebrity who first gave his voice in the separate statehood agitation and still waiting to become a beneficiary of the Telangana Government!
