Indian-British businessman Raj Kundra who has been in the headlines since the last month got a major sigh of relief from the adult content case. The Bombay High Court heard a petition on the adult content row today.

Hearing the petition, the High Court issued orders stating that Raj Kundra cannot be arrested in the case until August 25. The next hearing of the case will take place on the same day.

The Bombay High Court was hearing the alleged adult film racket case that came to light after the Mumbai Police busted a racket that was into filming and publishing adult content on apps.

Advocate Prashant Patil, who appeared before the High Court on the behalf of Raj Kundra told the court that his client should be given protection from arrest taking the seriousness of the charges filed against him.

The councel also placed his arguments that the other accused in the adult content case is out on bail. But the Public Prosecutor opposed the bail.

Prajakta Shinde, Additional Public Prosecutor told the court that the alleged role played by Raj Kundra differs from the role of co-accused and requested the High Court to grant time.

The High Court granted time for the Additional Public Prosecutor along with granting interim protection to Raj Kundra from arrest in the case.

The issue reached the High Court after Raj Kundra through a counsel knocked on the doors of the court seeking anticipatory bail. After a lower court refused to issue bail, Raj Kundra approached the High court.

Raj Kundra was arrested in connection with an adult content racket. The cops said he was the key conspirator of the racket which was busted last year.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's husband Raj Kundra is accused of luring models into the racket and forcing them to appear in adult content.

He was arrested earlier in July and was sent to Police custody and judicial custody respectively. He got a big relief now with the court granting interim protection to him from getting arrested in connection with the case. A few actresses have accused Raj Kundra of wrong doings earlier.
