Hike For 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' In AP Raises Debate!
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 May 2022 8:37 AM GMTAs it is known, superstar Mahesh Babu's commercial entertainer 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' is all set to hit the screens on 12th May. There are high expectations on the film thanks to its superbly cut trailer and cool songs composed by Thaman. Mahesh's stylish look and energetic acting are one of the biggest USPs as per the makers.
In order to get good collections within a short time, the makers sought permission from the governments of Telugu states to increase the ticket prices. Obliging to this, the AP government issued a G.O that allows the exhibitors and theatre owners to increase the ticket rate by 45 rupees for the first 10 days of its release. There is no update regarding a possibility of having five shows but the ticket rates will definitely help Mahesh's film in registering mind-boggling numbers on the first day and the days following.
But fans of Pawan Kalyan and people who are against the YSRCP government are complaining that they are showing bias towards Mahesh's film. As we know, no permissions were given to Pawan's 'Bheemla Nayak'. The government of Andhra Pradesh claimed that a film will only be given special permissions if it comes under 'Super High Budget Film' which means that the budget should be over 100 crores excluding the remuneration of the cast and the director.
But Mahesh's film doesn't fall into this category and a lot of people are pointing at it. In the trailer, Mahesh used the famous 'Nenu Vinnanu Nenu Unnanu' dialogue which was considered as an attempt to please YS Jagan and his party. With the special permissions given, a lot of PK fans and non-supporters of YSRCP are taking digs at the party.
While some say that the hikes may drive people away from theatres, others claim that the ticket hike is not too heavy and it definitely helps the makers to reach breakeven sooner. A huge pre-release event was planned on 7th May in Hyderabad and a lot of fans will be gathered at the venue. The details about the special guest has been kept under wraps and everybody is eager to find it.
