How did Aravindha Sametha help Trivikram and Jr. NTR?

Jr. NTR has been giving big hits but nothing of the range like Aadhi, Simhadri. Those films brought him his own fan base and from Yama Donga, he has been looking to change his image too.
But he fell pray to similar kind of movies coming his way and decided to change that after two huge career lowering disasters like Ramayya Vasthavayya, Rabhasa.
From Temper, he started building his image as an actor than just a mass hero. That helped him gain lot of market but Jai Lava Kusa seemed to be a bad choice for NTR, even though movie is a commercial success.
He needed a brand value to add to his next film after that and he did accept Trivikram Srinivas film. On the other hand, Trivikram ever since Julayi, he had a good run at the box office as a safe director.
Agnyathavasi seemed to have him take things lightly and the quality of his writing that dipped in S/O Satyamurthy seemed to have completely gone out of control in the film.
Even his fans couldn't digest it. So, he needed to take up Aravindha Sametha as a challenge and he decided to prove his mettle in Action genre.
He did not try an out and out action film after Athadu and Julayi. So, this movie became a litmus test for him. Well, the success has both the hero and director, gain from it. NTR got his career best opening due to brand Trivikram adding to his image and Trivikram proved that it is a one off slip in the case of Agnyathavasi.
