By: Tupaki Desk | 19 May 2014 8:26 AM GMTFilm Star Nagarjuna shared about the development that took place in the last few days of his father and legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
Nagarjuna: "One day, Dad suffered from stomach ache. Generally, He won't be facing such health issues. He took medicines and got relief from the pain. After few days, he again suffered from stomach ache. After scanning, Doctors informed us that it was Cancer. We can't do anything about it as Dad's age willn't support."
"This news spread like wild fire and people began calling Dad to enquire about his health. Dad didn't like and he arranged a press meet to reveal about it. On the same day, He collapsed on the sets due to stomach ache while acting a scene and was rushed to hospital. Doctors said he should be operated and there were 50:50 chances. Dad asked them to go ahead. During the surgery, Doctors came to know that Cancer has spread to 50% of the body. Dad stood on his feet after a week and called the doctor to his home for enquiring about his health condition. Doctors said: "Eat what you want and be happy". Later, Dad called Me and Brother Venkat to ask 'Inka Enni Rojulu Bathukuthanu?'. We replied, 'Emo NannaÂ…Cheppaledu. Kaani Veelainantha Sepu Metho Gadapamannadu.' Even since then, we used to spend as much time as possible with him. One day, Dad asked all the family members for Lunch at his house. He warned all of them not to come if they cry in his presence".
"After that, Dad called me to enquire about the scenes he is yet to shoot for 'Manam'. I said to him, there are 5 scenes and it requires a 5-day call sheet. He asked us to shoot the climax first apart from saying 'Make all the arrangements for shoot, I will come the day my health cooperates. ANR smiling sequence in the trailer is the last shot of Dad. After wrapping up his portions of shoot, Dad said he would dub for the film when his voice is in good rhythm. He dubbed for the film lying on the bed and the very next day he voice gone wrong."
"On Last Day, I was with Dad and even had lunch together. He went to sleep at 10 pm. Before going to house, I woke up him and said Good Night. He replied 'Sare Repu Kaludham'. Those were he last words of Dad!".
