Nani's Tuck Jagadish is all set to skip theatrical release and premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video. Several reliable reports claim that Amazon Prime has closed the deal with the makers of Tuck Jagadish and the film is heading the OTT way. Here comes the big question, how much did Amazon Prime pay for the direct to digital rights of Tuck Jagadish? The answer is that the top OTT platform did shell out big bucks for the direct OTT rights of the film.
AS per reports, the direct to digital rights of Tuch Jagadish have fetched a handsome price of Rs 37 crores. This is one of the most lucrative deals for any Telugu film to date. The makers have recovered their entire investment and also made minor profits from the digital rights alone. They might be entering the profits zone by selling off the satellite, audio, and dubbing rights.
There is no official update in this regard but it is heard that the makers of Tuck Jagadish have pocketed as much as Rs 50 crores by selling out the direct to digital, satellite, audion, and dubbing rights of the film. Given the positive reverberations surrounding Tuck Jagadish, Amazon Prime Video came up with a big offer for the film. This is much more than what they had offered for any Telugu film till date.
It is not official yet but Tuck Jagadish is likely to premiere on Amazon Prime Video this December. An official announcement on the digital premieres date will be made sooner than later.
