Humongous Rate For 'Ponniyin Selvan' Digital Rights!

It is without a doubt that 'Ponniyin Selvan' is one of the biggest projects made in this country. Touted to be Mani Ratnam's dream project, the first part of this epic story based on legendary writer Kalki's novel is arrving on 30th September. There are high expectations on this film and the trailer has impressed each and everyone.
The satellite rights of his film were sold to Sun Network for a massive rate and the Tips company bought the audio rights. The latest we hear is that digital rights for the first and second parts of 'Ponniyin Selvan' was collectively bought by popular OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Reports suggest that they got it for a whopping 125 crores. This is a humongous rate and every are stunned with this prize. The first part is expected to stream online after 4-6 weeks.
Produced under Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies banners, the cast of the film includes Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban. Ravi Varman is the director of photography while Sreekar Prasad is the editor. We all know that it is an AR Rahman musical while Eka Lakhani designed the wardrobe. Action was composed by Kecha Khamphakdee, Sham Kaushal & Dhilip Subbarayan.
