I Will Leave You In Tears While Watching 'Narappa': Venkatesh
By: Tupaki Desk | 17 July 2021 1:10 PM GMTSenior hero Victory Venkatesh is going to have his maiden OTT release this coming Tuesday with 'Narappa'. This remake of Tamil hit film 'Asuran' is all set to release on Amazon Prime on July 20th and the movie lovers are excited to watch it. The trailer received a tremendous response and Venkatesh's superb performance attracted many.
Since the release date is approaching fast, the star hero had an interaction with the media and gave some interesting answers. Explaining the reason behind choosing 'Asuran' remake, Venkatesh said, "I have to congratulate Vetrimaran, Dhanush, and Thanu. Asuran is one of the classics. I have to admit I have not seen such an honest, raw, hard-hitting, emotional drama. I did not come across a film like that. I fell in love after watching it and I felt it is a challenge. We do not get such scripts very often. When I see films of these kind, I immediately grab them."
Sharing about his experience of working for 'Narappa', Veky said that it was the most exhausting movie in his career and stated that he never worked that hard in his career. Apparently, he used to be in the same costume for around 50 days even when he was in the hotel while shooting in Madurai. Reportedly, he could not come out of the character for 4-5 minutes before doing the next shot. He remained in the character in order to get the look and body language perfectly. He is happy that he got such a strong character and told that the action sequences came out very well. Speaking about the emotional sequences, he said, "I will leave you in tears. You will watch that in the film."
Since it is a remake, people are bound to draw comparisons with Dhanush who played the lead in the original. The powerhouse performer even got a national award for 'Asuran'. When asked about stepping into the role which Dhanush owned already, Venkatesh said, "Comparisons are imminent but at the end of the day, Venkatesh is Venkatesh and Dhanush is Dhanush. He proved to be one of the finest actors in the country. He did a fantastic job. After some time, you come out of that remake thought and only feel the emotions that you feel in the film."
