In January 2011, Actress Yamuna was arrested by the Bangalore Police from the five-star hotel ITC Royal Gardenia for alleged involvement in flesh trade. Along with her, A software company CEO who is believed to be her client was taken into custody. This incident tarnished her image and badly affected her career.
In an interview session with TNR, Yamuna broke her silence on allegations of prostitution against her. The teary-eyed actress told, 'I haven't committed any mistake. Its a conspiracy against Me. In fact, I hadn't gone to ITC Royal Gardenia on that particular day. I went to the CCP Office. I didn't appear before Media to convey my version fearing the hard-hitting questions from them would hurt me further'.
Yamuna confessed to have thought about committing suicide at that phase. It was her friends who convinced her to drop any such extreme measures keeping the future of her children in mind. 'Kept saying myself that People will come to know about the truth one day. I always believed that people would trust Me,' she told.
