The happiness of welcoming twins did not last too long for a star couple as the birth of the twins ran into a controversy that is spreading like a wildfire. There are a few doubts that the couple might have gone for surrogacy, which needs a certain procedure to be followed.

A couple of days back, Lady Superstar Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan announced the delivery of twins. Since then many reports emerged saying that there are high chances of th couple going for surrogacy as it's barely five months since they tied the knot.

With the doubt getting bigger and bigger, the Tamil Nadu Health Department stepped in and ordered an inquiry and all eyes are on the reports. The Indian government recently made a few amendments to the surrogacy law. The violators would have to face jail imprisonment and a fine too.

The new changes in the surrogacy law say that the couple wanting to go for this practice should be married for five years. On top of this, a medical officer should certify that one of the couple should be infertile and the couple should get orders from the Magistrate.

There is a very long procedure that needs to be followed. If the procedure is not followed, then they might have to face jail imprisonment, and a fine too. Depending on the reports, the couple might face the same. Now all the eyes are on the report. We would get clarity once the report is out.
