Ilayaraja asks people to leave the matter there ..

Ilaiyaraja and S.P Balasubramanyam have a long history of friendship and they have many times said that 'they are born for each other". Their career has also blossomed like that with SPB singing more songs to Ilaiyaraja than any other composer.
So, when Ilaiyaraja decided to serve Balasubramanyam notices regarding the copyrights issue, many were surprised and shocked by the incident. SPB spoke about it saying that he got hurt with his friend's decision but he never criticised him. Ilaiyaraja on the other hand, never spoke about it public and he never issued any clarification for that.
As he is in Hyderabad to promote his concert to be conducted on 5th of November, the music director, finally talked about it to press. He said, " I don't want to talk about the incident now. If I have to talk about it, then it will be in completely different tone. It is better if we leave the matter here. It is between me and my friend, public need know anything about it. If I do not speak about the greatness of the great people, it will be a crime."
Well, there is a rumour that Ilaiyaraja and SPB have come to an understanding about the issue after the interference of several bigwigs in Chennai. May be Ilaiyaraja doesn't want to spoil the friendship by raking up the wound again!
