Though he has always been denying that he has any interest in politics, he has always made films that made political statements. His fans also showed a lot of interest in politics and have even prepared ground for his entry into politics.
It has now emerged that Vijay has recently met poll strategist Prashant Kishor and discussed political strategies with him. Several close friends of Vijay have confirmed this. The political circles in Tamil Nadu are keenly watching the moves of Vijay. Sources say that Vijay might align with the AIADMK. His father always had connections with the AIADMK. But the relations soured after Jayalalitha stalled the release of his film Thalaiva.
But now that Jayalalitha is out of the scene and the AIADMK is down in the dumps, it may align with Vijay. It is in this backdrop that Vijay's moves are being keenly watched by the political circles in Tamil Nadu.
Vijay had consistently refuted the claims that he would join politics. He also chided his father Chandrasekharan for launching All Indi Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam.
