Madhur Bhandarkar is one director who became famous by making movies on taboo subjects with interesting star cast. His films always have an investigate journalist quality yo them. After trying out an out and out commercial movie some time ago, Madhur decided to stick to his strength and with films like Fashion, Page 3 won National Awarda too.
But his Heroine did not do well and the director promised to come back stronger than earlier. He took his time and announced a movie called, Indu Sarkar. It is about a lady who tried to fight against the system during the the emergency period. Well, there is no denying that Indira Gandhi is one of the most popular Prime Ministers of India, but she imposed Emergency for two years, 1975 to 77 fearing her political defeat. With her movie, she gave raise to many youngsters coming out and voicing their opposition to oppression and the rise of Janatha Party.
With such a heavy subject and difficult theme, Madhur decided to take the subject to the cinemas in his own style with Keerthi Kolhari, Pink fame as the lead. Anupam Kher is playing an important role too. The movie poster released this evening and we can see that Madhur is back in his game by giving out theme based poster. The movie will release on 28th July and we hope the director is back to his best this time and deliver on promise.
