Industry Biggies Persuading The Government!
By: Tupaki Desk | 19 May 2020 6:26 AM GMTThe last two months have been the toughest for everyone and it looks like the film industry is going to face the same situation for the next few months. Recently, the government started giving permission to reopen a lot of sectors and industries. But sadly, the film industry is not one of them as the government still feels that it is risky to allow public gathering spots like theatres and shooting to start again.
The film industry witnessed a huge amount of losses in the past few months. The lockdown cost the industry a near 500 crores of business which means that the government also lost a tax of nearly 100 crores. Apart from that, thousands of people have their lives dependent on this industry. They cannot survive unless there are shooting daily and the current situation is putting all their lives in agony and jeopardy.
This is why the industry bigwigs are trying to convince the governments in all the ways they can to grant their permission to restart the shootings again. Let us wait and see whether the government gives them permission to start the film productions at least or not.
