Vikramrn is one of the very few actors who doesn't hesitate to risk his life forrn the challenging roles he play. He, however, was unable to achieve the rnsuccess he deserves in the past few years. After 'Aparichithudu', He rnwasn't able to score a big success. Even 'I' didn't please the movie rnlovers to the fullest. Still, Vikram keeps experimenting and surprises rnthe audience with his choice of films. For 'Inkokkadu', He does the rolern of a RAW Agent and Transgender Villain. Let's see how well did Young rnFilmmaker Anand Shankar design this project…

Synopsis:

Akhilrn (Vikram), a former RAW Agent, quits his job after losing his Wife Mira rn(Nayantara) during an operation and leads a normal life. One fine day, rnAkhil comes to know that the anti-social element responsible for his rnwife's death is still alive and he is planning a major disaster. Cops rnseek the help of Akhil to prevent the destruction process. Who is Love? rnHow did Akhil face the challenge? Watch 'Inkokkadu' in theaters for rnfinding Answers!

Performances:

Asrn usual, Vikram excels in two different roles. His Makeovers, Body rnLanguage, Dialogue Modulations and Performance is worth every penny paidrn for the ticket. Vikram showed required intensity in Akhil's role. rnEspecially, Fans will thoroughly enjoy the character of Love. However, rnThe role wasn't etched properly and the make-up looks a bit awkward.

Nayantararn impresses with her glamourous avatar. She did perform in a decent rnmanner. An actress of Nithya Menon's calibre was wasted. Thambi rnRamayya's Comedy Track irritates. Rest of the characters doesn't leave arn positive impact.

Pros:

Basic Plot

Vikram

First Half

Cons:

Nithya Menon

Screenplay

Run Time

Technicalities:

Nothingrn special about Harris Jayaraj's compositions. Actually, Songs hamper thern flow of the movie. 'Helena..' is the only track which received thumbs rnup. Even the duet of Vikram-Nayantara in Second Half is good enough but rnwrong placement hampers its impact. It must be said that Harris Jayaraj rnhas done a fantastic job when it comes to Background Score. RD rnRajasekhar's Camera Work is refreshing to watch. Action Sequences were rnTerrific. Editing could have been better in Second Half. Production rnValues are grand. Director Anand Shankar choose an interesting plot and rnearned brownie points with the way he dealt the pre-interval sequence. rnHe, however, lost the grip in the Second Half and Routine Screenplay rnplays the spoilsport.

Analysis:

Tamilrn Filmmakers deserve praise for conducting extensive research and coming rnup with unique plots to offer a never-seen-before experience to movie rnbuffs. Director Anand Shankar developed a script based on the steroid rnHitler used during 2nd World War to boost the energy levels of his rnSoldiers. Basic Plot is the major attraction for 'Inkokkadu'. The rnDirector, however, didn't succeed in penning interesting sequence to rnmake the most out of the untouched plot.

Not to forget the rnclap-worthy performance given by Vikram in the dual roles. His screen rnpresence is magical and acting prowess were unbelievable. 'Inkokkadu' rnstarts as a Sci-Fi Flick and ends as a routine flick based on rnHero-Villain rivalry.

The biggest drawback of 'Inkokkadu' is rnlacking the necessary content to make Audience sit in their seats for rn2-and-a-half hours. Anand Shankar hardly creates a positive impression rnwith Screenplay. While the Director looked in complete control during rnFirst Half, He tried to play a safe game with routine screenplay in the rnSecond Half. Also, Lots of build-up was given for the character of Love rnin the First Half. However, The impact gets lost soon after the rnVillain's introduction due to weak characterization.

Pre-Intervalrn Sequence of 'Inkokkadu' has come out well. Ample curiosity was created rnfor Hero-Villain first meeting and the Interval Block is mind blowing. rnSince the secret about Heroine gets unfolded in the Second Half, rnAudience keep losing interest on the proceedings. Illogical & Silly rnScenes only ruin the experience of the viewer. Finally, Give it a try ifrn you can handle the poorly executed Second Half!

Bottom Line: Vikram's Show all the way!
