Sai Dharam Tej scored four consecutive flops after hat-trick hits. He now pinned all his hopes on 'Intelligent' which is being helmed by VV Vinayak. Let's see how much wisely did the Mass Filmmaker project his hero...
Synopsis:
Sai Dharam Tej (Sai Dharam Tej), an orphan, is a software professional who is very loyal to his Godfather/Employer. Mafia Don Vicky Bhai enters the city and overtakes the IT Firm by killing the CEO. Tej shifts to the violent path to get rid of the baddies. How Dharma Bhai won fighting against a dreaded criminal forms rest of the tale!
Performances:
Sai Dharam Tej has done nothing remarkable in terms of performance but he did put a sincere effort. The look he obtained for this movie suited him to the T. Tej imitates Chiru & Pawan a lot. He is pretty good with dances and does fights really well.
Lavanya Tripathi doesn't have much to do but she looked more glamorous compared to her past movies. Roles of Nasser, Rahul Dev and Dev Gill look routine. None of the Actors leave a strong impact.
Pros:
Dances
Cons:
Outdated Plot
Lack of Twists n Turns
Direction
Technicalities:
Thaman's Music is ordinary to say the least. 'Chamak Chamak Cham' track is the only relief audience could get. Even Background Score doesn't impress. Nothing special about Visweswar's Camera Work. Production Values are just okay. Neither Story nor Dialogues provided by Akula Siva are worth discussing. VV Vinayak had delivered flops in the past as well but at least few elements in them were appreciable. In 'Intelligent', There is hardly anything to entertain or excite the viewers.
Analysis:
'Intelligent' is all about a Youth's revenge on Mafia Don who killed his Godfather. Here is an example to know how badly the concept has been executed by Vinayak - Protagonist brings the entire network of Villain under his control. Then, The Baddie hires hackers to trace the Hero. That's when the Protagonist alerts his software friend and makes him prepare a picture in the combination of various features of wild creatures. The outcome is none other than Brahmanandam and he is being used to divert the hackers. From then, Villain Gang keeps targeting Brahmi and the friend gives a high-five to hero appreciating his so-called 'intelligent' idea. There is no dearth for such scenes which undermines the intelligence of the audience in this movie. Even if the film is a commercial entertainer, Something of this standard can't be expected from a director of Vinayak's calibre.
With beaten to death storyline & routine screenplay, 'Intelligent' tests the patience and irritates till the very end. There are no hilarious scenes either to keep the proceedings passable. Those who watched the movie question themselves how did Vinayak & SDT okayed such a lackluster subject. Too much effort has been put to offer justification to the title with unconving dialogues.
In a scene, Hero plans to target the flight which is ready to making landing using a drone. A Cop attempt to shoot the drone from a far away distance. Fearing the consequences, The Pilot shift the landing to Begumpet from Shamshabad. Nobody could find any logic in looting the money of Politicians overnight and distributing it to the poor. Such silly scenes are plenty in 'Intelligent'.
Whenever Heroine appears on the screen, Audience should be prepared to watch a Song though situation doesn't permit. Even good dances from Sai Dharam Tej hardly saves the movie. This flick would have been considered outdated even if it had released ten years ago. Lack of any good interesting twists makes it a terrible product. Critics won't mind saying Vinayak has made 'Intelligent' look like his worst movie till date.
Bottom Line: Nothing Intelligent About It!
