Kollywood's versatile star actor Karthi is having a very silent birthday this year but fans are creating the much needed rage with birthday wishes on social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Karthi never wanted to be an actor first of all. He always mentions that it was his fate that brought the actor in him. Karthi always wanted to be a Director and thus even assisted Director Mani Ratnam in films Yuva and Amrutha. Karthi even appeared as a student in Yuva in a college scene.
Karthi is also the classmate of Superstar Mahesh Babu in a Chennai's famous College. During the college days he used to like watching films of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam films.
Karthi had a strange debut in films with rustic films like Paruththi Veeran and Yuganiki Okkadu. Slowly he changed his image to that of an all-rounder by jumping to different genres. He always risked with content and that itself made him the star he is now with good success percentage in his career.
Karthi's films are all dubbed into Telugu and have a simultaneous release. His hits include Awara, Na Peru Siva, Kaithi to name a few. His Telugu dubbing in his own voice is an additional asset to his films.
Karthi is now acting in Mani Ratnam's dream project 'Ponniyan Selvan'. It is the first time that he is repeating the Director because he can't say no to his guru!
