Is Akhil's 'Agent' Moving To 2023 Summer?

After getting his first hit in the form of 'Most Eligible Bachelor', Akkineni Akhil has taken the pan-Indian route with his upcoming spy action thriller 'Agent'. The makers have announced long back that it will be coming out on 12th August. But they postponed it due to a balance in shooting and post-production works. While fans believed that it may arrive during Diwali or at least by Christmas, sources say that it may get delayed a lot longer than expected.
The makers have not released a single update about 'Agent'. Even Akhil is not talking about this film and barring a teaser, no promotional content has been released yet. Many feel that it may be pushed to January of 2023. But Prabhas' 'Adipurush', Megastar's 'Waltair Veerayya', Vijay's 'Varasudu', and Balakrishna's 107th film have booked the Sankranti season. It will be very tough of Akhil's film to get into theatres. Also, with 'Bholaa Shankar' and 'Agent' being produced under the same banner, they will not risk arriving on the same time and it is likely for Akhil's film to get postponed.
Republic Day has been occupied by Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathan'. While Akhil's film will not have a problem in the Telugu market, he may not get any theatres in the North if SRK is arriving on the same day. As said before, Akhil is aiming at the pan-Indian market with 'Agent'. With March being a dry season for movies and Mahesh's film arriving in April, many say that 'Agent' team will be moving to summer in order to find a suitable date. We need to see if this happens or the 'Agent' team releases the film any time soon.
Malayalam legendary actor Mammootty is playing a key role in 'Agent'. Crazy music composer Hip Hop Tamizha is scoring the music while top writer Vakkantam Vamsi has penned the story. Produced by Rambrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments banner along with Surender 2 Cinema banner. Young beauty Sakshi Vaidya has been brought on board to romance Akhil in this movie. Ragul Herian Dharuman cranks the camera. National Award winner Naveen Nooli is the editor while Avinash Kolla is the art director. Stylish maker Surender Reddy is directing the movie and he is presenting Akhil as a first-of-its-kind character.
