From what we hear, the online giant Amazon is planning to own the AMC theatres. The stock prices were down by 26% in one day and it viewed a drop of 70% from the start of 2020. It is the biggest chain in UK, North America and Canada which is why Amazon is showing interest in buying it.
The motive behind it is that it provides scope for Amazon to screen its original content in theatres without any hurdles. As it may be tough for AMC to get back on its foot again after this huge blow, experts claim that they can see this deal taking place.
