Is It All Done For Anasuya In Films?

After raising to the stardom as a TV host, Anasuya made her an impressive debut into films by playing a key role in Kshanam. She continued to do pivotal supporting roles in films like Rangasthalam and Yatra which got her critical acclaim as well. All of a sudden, she turned as a lead actress with the film Kathanam.
Right from the shooting stages, this film failed to create any buzz and even the pale promos and trailers made the audience completely ignore it. On top of that, Anasuya's didn't promote the film aggressively which has also dented its chances to get good openings. Finally, the movie was released last week and gone from the theatres already, without any trace.
Apparently, the film's producer suffered a loss of Rs. 2 crores with this film. On the flip side, Anasuya's other film Sachindhi Goree has been shelved already. Right now, she has only one film in hand, which is an untitled flick produced by Vijay Deverakonda. Industry folks felt that if that movie fails to perform, Anasuya should stop experimenting with lead roles and better stick to the supporting characters.
