Is Bheemla Nayak really targeting RRR?
By: Tupaki Desk | 1 Feb 2022 11:55 AM GMTEarlier this January, the makers of RRR persuaded the makers of Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak to alter the release date in order to make way for RRR. So, Bheemla Nayak which was announced for theatrical release on the 12th of January opted out, making way for RRR which was announced for release on 7th January. But in view of Covid, neither of the films could make it to the theatres.
But back then, an interesting incident caught the attention of everyone. While thanking the makers of the Sankranthi releases, which opted out of the race in order to facilitate RRR, Rajamouli shared a string of tweets.
While thanking the makers of Sarkaru Vaari Paata and Mahesh Babu in particular, Rajamouli wrote "@urstrulyMahesh was the one who took the initative in decluttering the Pongal releases... Even though #SarkaruVaariPaata was a perfect Pongal film, he moved it to summer and created a healthy atmosphere. Thanks to my Hero Slightly smiling face and also to the entire team at @MythriOfficial." This was a compassionate message. But while thanking Pawan Kalyan, Rajamouli wrote "The decision by Chinababu garu and Pawan Kalyan garu to defer the release date of #BheemlaNayak is well appreciated. Wishing the team all the very best". Many of Pawan Kalyan's fans reacted badly to the tweet, saying Rajamouli was not polite enough.
Now, the makers of Bheemla Nayak have announced that they are lining up the 1 April release slot. If that is the case, Bheemla Nayak will be arriving in theatres just a week post the release of RRR. Now, rumors on social media are rife that the makers of Bheemla Nayak did not like the way Rajamouli handled the negotiations saga during the Sankranthi releases development and later when he thanked them. So, the makers of Bheemla Nayak are trying to get back at RRR by releasing the film just a week post the Rajamouli directorial. Well, this rumor does sound prepostrous, but they are making their point heard.
As of now, RRR is set to hit the silver screens on the 25th of March while Bheemla Nayak is sizing up the 1 April release slot.
