Is Boyapati Adamant On Making 'Akhanda - 2'?

Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu is a combination made in heaven. Only the 'Bhadra' director knows how to bring out the best in a mass star hero like Balayya. The biggest hits in the last 15 years of Balakrishna's career came under Boyapati's direction. 'Simha' which came out in 2010 was a sensation and the combo followed it up with 'Legend' in 2014 which was a super hit too.
In 2021, they delivered 'Akhanda' which is the biggest hit in the senior hero's career till date. The movie created havoc at the Telugu box office and Balayya's powerful portrayal of Aghora's character paired with Boyapati's taking made it a phenomenal success. While there are conversations happening about 'Akhanda 2', the update suggests that Balayya and Boyapati will be reuniting for sure.
Currently, NBK is working with Anil Ravipudi and Boyapati is working with Ram Pothineni. Both of them are planning to arrive during the Dasara season. With the 2024 elections looming large, Balakrishna is expected to invest his complete focus onto that and Boyapati will be readying a perfect script by then. While there are rumors that Boyapati is readying a political subject for Balayya, insiders claim that Boyapati is fixed on making the second part of 'Akhanda' at all costs.
Balayya is expected to work with Bobby after wrapping up #NBK108. This leaves less room for Boyapati's film to start before the elections. Due to that, they are planning to make the film after the elections and Boyapati reportedly feels that 'Akhanda - 2' is the right subject for their fourth film together. Also, reports claim that Boyapati is looking for other banners though '14 Reels Plus' banner is ready to produce their flick. We need to see if 'Akhanda' producer Miryala Ravindar Reddy comes into the picture once again or not.
On the whole, it looks like Balayya - Boyapati combo may take some time before going onto the floors. Apart from that, Balakrishna is planning to act and direct 'Aditya 369' sequel as well and he is in contact with other directors too. Let us wait and see what happens.
