Is Gaddalakonda Ganesh A Blockbuster?
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 Sep 2019 9:33 AM GMTGaddalakonda Ganesh (previously Valmiki) is being promoted as a blockbuster and in its first weekend, it did seem so. The collections were best for any Varun Tej film in their first weekend.
But the movie dropped heavily on Tuesday and further on Wednesday. With no major film releasing on Friday, movie could come up with some good numbers and become a break even film.
The problem with that status is that the producers will be in dilemma. Nani's Gangleader did not get positive reviews but showed improvement in collections on all three days.
Then, the movie failed to register good crowd pull on Monday and weekdays. During weekend, it had GG to oppose and it couldn't stand in comparison.
In "A" centres movie is collecting nominal shares and trade is hoping that it will be reaching break-even status. Now, GG is looking like it will be a break-even success overall but not a blockbuster as expected.
Few areas could turn marginal profits with some losing money. If the same trend continues, then producers might have to revise budgets looking at first weekend collections and non-theatrical revenues. This is the Most worrying sign for anyone now.
