Is It Going To Be 'Karthikeya 2' or 'Bimbisara'?

Nikhil Siddhartha's 'Karthikeya 2' was supposed to hit the screens on 22nd July but it got postponed due to various reasons. Though it wasn't announced yet, the release date of this supernatural fantasy thriller is going to be on 5th August. This led to a three-way fight in the first weekend of August.
Dulquer Salman's 'Sita Ramam' is arriving on 5th August and it is a romantic love story with a poetic touch. Set in the backdrop of the 80s, the movie has Mrunal Thakur playing the female lead while Sumanth, Tharun Bhascker, Gautham Menon, Rashmika Mandanna and others played key roles. It is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema. There is a good buzz on this film directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and there is no chance of it getting postponed.
Insiders claim that it is going to be either 'Bimbisara' or 'Karthikeya 2' which is going to drop out. As we know, both these films have a fantasy element attached to them and are expected to thrill the audience. But distributors claim that this competition is going to affect the openings. Despite the talks, not one of the producers is ready to prepone or postpone their film.
It is because Ravi Teja's 'Ramarao On Duty' is arriving on 29th July. Due to Mass Maharaj's craze, it is unwise to compete with it. After 5th August, Aamir Khan's 'Laal Singh Chadda' is coming out on 11th and Nithiin's 'Macherla Niyojakavargam' is arriving on 12th August. So, 5th August is the only available date and we need to see which one back out of the race. It is 'Bimbisara' or 'Karthikeya 2'?
