Is It The Reason Behind Taking Kangana?

Ever since the biopic of Tamil Nadu's ex CM late Jayalalitha featuring Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut was announced, there was a lot of discussion over it. The first look got a lukewarm response and people even criticized the artificial makeup for Kangana looked nothing like Jayalalitha.
But the makers are pretty sure that Kangana Ranaut will be making a terrific impact. As we know, this film is being made on a pan Indian scale and producers reveal that it is the reason behind roping in the 'Queen' actress. They are reportedly saying that making this film with a popular actress like Kangana will explain the greatness of Jayalalitha to the entire nation.
But there is a risk of the very own Tamil people rejecting it because of various issues like Kangana being a North heroine, dubbing issues and others. Few Tamil audiences are saying that Aravind Swamy's look as MGR got a better response that the title role. Titled 'Thalaivi', this film is being made on a grand note. It is still in the shooting stage and the makers earlier planned it for a release during the second half of 2020 but the Corona lockdown may force the film's unit to postpone it to the year ending.
