Is It Time Up For This Award Winning Art Director?

'Prabhas' high budget romantic drama 'Radhe Shyam' released on 11th March and it bagged a mixed response from the critics as well as the audience. The film is being well received by the class audience but the masses are not at all happy with what they have seen. While the collections are decent at the moment, there are a few complaints on this movie.
While the first one is definitely the usage of big names like Murali Sharma, Bhagyasree, Jagapathi Babu and many others in tiny roles, the other one is the production design. If there is one thing that the film is wonderful at, it is the visuals. The cinematography and art direction was unbelievable good. Every frame looked like a painting and people are lauding the work of cinematographer and art director.
But insiders say that the production design is the main reason for the heavy spike in the budget. As we know, National award winning art director Ravinder spearheaded the art direction department. He did some brilliant work but they looked like a painting most of the time. While it was beautiful, it failed to look natural at times according to many. Also, the huge sets erected by the art director doubled the budget and his care for detailing too did not help the producers. Reports suggest that his perfection led to heavy budget and we need to wait and see if he gets big offers anytime soon or not despite his brilliant work.
Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, this epic love drama has Pooja Hegde playing the female lead named Prerna. Prabhas will be seen as a world-renowned palmist in this movie. This movie is produced under UV Creations, Gopi Krishna Arts and T-Series banners. Manoj Paramahamsa is the cinematographer while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor for ‘Radhe Shyam'. Justin Prabhakaran is the music composer for South Indian languages.
Other than this, Prabhas is working on 'Salaar' under Prasanth Neel's direction. This is a huge action film while he is also working on a mythological drama named 'Adipurush' which is directed by Om Raut. Kriti Sanon is the heroine while Saif Ali Khan is the villain in this project. He even kickstarted Nag Ashwin's high-budget time traveling project. Deepika Padukone is the heroine in this film while Amitabh Bachchan plays a key role.
