Is 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' The Costliest Film Of Mahesh?

Superstar Mahesh Babu has been on a roll over the past few years. His 'Bharat Ane Nenu', 'Maharshi' and 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' turned out to be good hits. He is looking to extend his hattrick hit run with 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata'. This film is reportedly a complete package that will make the fans entirely satisfied. The two songs 'Kalaavathi' and 'Penny' got a terrific response from the audience and the glimpse which came out last year on Mahesh's birthday generated a lot of buzz.
The film has been in the making for more than two years. Postponements due to pandemic and Mahesh's surgery were some of the reasons for it and the highly anticipated film is finally getting released on 12th May. It is in the last leg of its shooting and sources claim that it is Mahesh's costliest film till date. Apparently, the budget crossed the estimation but the makers are reportedly very confident on the output. Large portions of the film were shot in Spain, Dubai and Goa.
Thanks to Mahesh's stupendous craze, the non-theatrical rights went for massive rates and the theatrical business is expected to generate a huge amount too. Let us see if the makers enter the safe zone and end up in profits or not.
'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' is directed by Parasuram who made hits like 'Solo' and 'Geetha Govindham' in the past. This film is produced jointly by Mythri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus and GMB Entertainments banners. Madhie who worked on movies like 'Srimanthudu', 'Mirchi' and 'Saaho' is the cinematographer while Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor. Thaman composed the music and star heroine Keerthy Suresh will be seen romancing Mahesh in this project.
