TDP Activists lodged a complaint with Election Commission accusing Posani Krishna Murali of making a feature film to tarnish the image of Chandrababu Naidu ahead of 2019 elections. EC sought the clarification of Posani on this issue.
Addressing media Today, Posani clarified: 'I am not making any movie against Chandrababu Naidu. Didn't even make any such announcement. EC served notice to Me even after sending a letter clarifying that I have no such intention. I was asked to appear before them. In the past, Films like 'Mandaladyakshudu' were made mocking NTR. When he was informed about it, NTR reacted in a dignified manner and even appreciated the lead actor for acting just alike him. That's the quality of a leader. Now, Films have been made on the wrongdoings of Chandrababu Naidu. If Babu is a good person, Why would People take such films seriously? Why is he so worried about these movies?'.
Posani recalled Nara Lokesh calling Opposition Leader Jagan 'broker'. He added, 'I would file a case against Lokesh. Will EC serve notice asking him to appear before it for offering an explanation? Laws aren't the same for CM, CM's Son and a bachha like Posani'.
The Character Artiste revealed his directorial-flick is based on the manifestos of various political parties in the country. 'I have no intention to abuse Babu. It's a message-oriented film. Why should I appear before EC on March 20th even after issuing a clarification? Is this just because I am a YCP Supporter? Is this a conspiracy to kill me at the secretariat? I am neither a backstabber nor rowdy sheeter. Not a broker, loafer and doesn't even face any cases. What kind of justice is this?,' he questioned.
