Superstar Rajinikanth's fans cannot remember 2020 for a long time. Their long wait to see their matinee idol in politics took a massive dive as the actor took a U-turn from venturing into electoral politics.
Back in December last year, the actor fell ill and was shifted to a hospital, and was released post-treatment. Citing the doctors' advice, Rajinikanth announced that he will remain distant from politics, but his trust will carry out the help for the needy.
Before being admitted to the hospital, Rajinikanth announced that he will venture into politics and held a series of meetings with his fans and supporters and took their suggestions and inputs. But his political entry didn't happen.
Though his decision had made his fans sad, he will entertain them in his upcoming film Annaatthe, touted to be an action entertainer. The film shooting has been wrapped up in Hyderabad earlier this month and the movie release is awaited.
During the shoot of Annaatthe, Rajinikanth reportedly discussed his retirement plans with the team. He said he wants to do a few more films if his health conditions support him. This news will certainly make his fans happy. Looks like the decision to leave politics gave full josh to the star and he wants to act in a few more films.
The action entertainer is helmed by Siruthai Siva. Lady Superstar Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh are playing the female leads. The film has an ensemble cast of Meena, Khushbu, Jackie Shroff, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, and Vela Ramamoorthy.
