Is Tollywood Against MegaDomination?
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 Jun 2020 3:21 PM GMTEvery family has a head who takes up the responsibility of the entire family. For an industry who has thousands of people working, it definitely needs a head or a fatherly figure to drive them and help them in the time of need. For the film industry, some or the other person has been taking up that responsibility. Importantly, it was Dasari Narayana Rao who took care of the welfare of the industry. His demise filled vacuum that wasn't filled.
The film fraternity is still in search of that big personality who can drive them and solve their problems. Especially, the small producers are missing Dasari's helping nature as he used to look after them by allotting necessary theatres for their films. Not just that, but he looked after everyone from all the crafts. The big four who have a grip on theatres across both the states used to respect Dasari. It is to be seen who takes up that spot now.
For quite a sometime now, Megastar Chiranjeevi is trying to solve the problems in the industry. He did his part in resolving the 'MAA' problems and even set up a 'CCC' fund and helped many workers through it. Apart from that, he held meetings with the governments of both the states in order to discuss about the future of film industry. But there is a talk that majority of industry people are not agreeing with Chiranjeevi. Some are criticising him on not able to inspire people. Hero Balakrishna too slammed Chiranjeevi and his zero involvement in Nagababu-Balayya issue is raising doubts in everyone's minds.
Also, small producers are claiming that if Chiru takes the head position, only big time producers will be benefitted as all the people who own theatres and produce big films are very close to him. The ongoing controversies made sure that the industry is divided and there is groupism. Also, Chiru taking big producers for the meeting and ignoring the small producers is reportedly not going well with some people. With all these taken into consideration, critics are claiming that a majority of industry people are against the Chiranjeevi.
