Is US Distributor Ruining Rangasthalam Prospects?
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 March 2018 3:21 PM GMTWill Rangasthalam's prospects be marred by the actions of the distributors in the US? This question is upper mt in the minds of Pawan fans. Though the US Market is growing by leaps and bounds and despite director Sukumar being hugely popular in the US, the distributor is not doing enough by way of publicity.
At a time when films like Anando Brahma and Arjun Reddy have minted money in the US market and at a time when Sukumar's Nannaku Premato garnered more money in the US market, Rangasthalam unit seem to be giving a cold shoulder to the US market. Though the release date has been confirmed long time ago, the right kind of theatres haven't been booked so far.
While there is every possibility that the US audience will connect to the film because of its rural melieu, the lack of plan and strategy on the part of the distributor could prove to be the undoing. Till now , the first day bookings of the film have not been completed in the US. Not even half of the fan enthusiasm that was seen during the releaseof Khaidi 150 is being seen now.
The distributors need to understand that despite being a flop, Pawan Kalyan's Agnyaathavaasi garnered huge amount from the US market. Ram Charan does not definitely have the same kind of craze that Pawan have. Shouldn't Charan step in and take up corrective measures?
